Spotlight Musical Theater Summer Camp is one of of the most affordable quality musical theatre camps in Illinois/WI. Campers are placed on a team (red, green, blue etc). In the morning, they rotate with their team to a variety of theater classes including dance, drama & voice taught by qualified instructors.  After lunch, summer campers play exciting outdoor games before they come together with all the teams for showcase rehearsal. All campers perform in the musical theater showcase at the end of the week, featuring a variety of songs, dances and drama. Our Jr. campers enjoy a fast paced, condensed structure to keep them engaged while learning theater basics. Last year 3,500 campers attended Spotlight camp in over 40 Chicago locations.

Spotlight Youth Theater was founded in 1997 and has grown to be one of the largest youth theaters in the country.  Spotlight is a non-profit, educational theater arts program for students 4-18 in the Aurora, Cook, DuPage, Kane, Kenosha (WI), Lake, McHenry, Milwaukee, Oak Park, and Rockford Metro areas and has approximately 6,000 students per year. Each area offers summer camps and after-school classes in dance, voice, drama, musical theater, and theatrical specialties, and performs three fully staged musical productions per year.  Spotlight also offers an inclusion program which assists students with special needs to participate in classes and productions, as well as Spotlight@School , after-school theater arts available to public or private schools.

Spotlight Youth Theater wants as many kids as possible to be able to experience theater summer camp. We realize that in light of the economy, many families are struggling with income. We offer financial aide in the form of scholarships or payment plans. We want your child to be able to come to camp!
